AdminHistoryInfants, girls and boys were originally together in one school in Church Street. In 1871 a separate infants' and girls’ school was opened. In 1877 they moved to new buildings in East Street. In 1940 the infants moved to new premises in Elm Grove Road, and in 1967 moved to a new school built on an adjacent site.
The school closed in July 2011 to be merged from September 2011 with Arun Vale Infant School and Connaught Junior School to form River Beach Primary School, one of two new 'all through' primary schools.
