Description(1) Photocopies of charts of Portland Bill in Dorset and of the English Channel, by the astronomer Edmund Halley (1656-1742), published by Richard Mount & Thomas Page, of Tower Hill, London, in Captain Greenville Collins: 'Great Britain's Coasting Pilot', 1693 and later editions (5 folios).
(2) Reproductions of surveys of the English Channel from the Isles of Scilly to Kent, in three sheets, with inset on sheet 3 of Isle of Wight and Selsey Bill; surveyed by Edmund Halley 1701, sold by Mount & Page, 1702. (Original in UK Hydrographic Office, ref. Vf.2/34).
(3) Reproduction of chart of the sea coast from Arundel in Sussex to Yarmouth, Isle of Wight (original to St Alban's in Dorset), by Joseph Avery, published by Mount & Page, 1721 (one sheet; original in UK Hydrographic Office ref. Vf.2/30). Richard Budgen based part of his 1724 Survey of Sussex on this chart.
(4) Copy of the 'DNB' entry for Edmund Halley, with explanatory notes about the charts by the depositor, Adrian Webb, Research Manager, Hydrographic Data Centre, UK Hydrographic Office, Taunton, Somerset.
