The documents in this series should not be regarded as forming a separate group divorced in subject matter from Series I. Indeed, some of the documents are complementary to bundles which appear in the earlier series. It is merely that many of these deeds have, in the course of time, strayed, or been removed, from their context in such a way that they often appear in another box, or even in another archival class, and exact re-arrangement of the bundles has not been practicable nor advisable. Other documents below are also strays, in that they have appeared among deeds of another class, but they have no association with any other documents, or with any other section of this catalogue.
