AdminHistory2483 Pte Charles Frederick Moody enlisted in Chichester on 9 December 1886. He served with 2nd Battalion in India from 1888 to 1894 and was discharged in 1898. During the First World War, he served with 8th Battalion, Royal Sussex Regiment, by which time he had been promoted to Sergeant. He was awarded the Military Medal (MM) and Distinguished Conduct Medal (DCM).
