Description(a) William Maunt of South Bersted, labourer, to (b) Richard Pricksmall of South Bersted, yeo
Cottage at Bognor in South Bersted upon the waste of the manor of Aldwick, with the garden adjoining
Recites: (i) lease, 24 May 1650, for 99 years from the previous Lady Day at annual rent of 2s. 0d., from Sir John Dingley of Wolverton, (Isle of Wight), kt., to Daniel Maunt of Bognor, husbandman, grandfather of (a), the property being then `lately erected' and in occ. of said Daniel Maunt; (ii) that said Daniel Maunt by his will (dated 30 Oct. 1673) bequeathed the property to s. John, whom he made sole executor and who duly proved the will, and that said John by his will (dated 14 Nov. 1685) bequeathed the property to w. Anne for life, and thereafter to (a) his son, whom he made sole executor, and who duly proved the will, and that said Anne being dead, the property is now lawfully vested in (a) for the residue of the term of years

Endorsed in a later ? late 18th century hand, `Now held under a Lease granted by Sir Jno Miller Bart. Lord of the ... Manor dated 17 January 1735 for 99 years. The premises are situated on the left hand side of the road as you enter Bognor & are in the occupation of the Widow Harris. Lease Renewed by me. R.D.'
