Full description | Soldiers erect barbed wire, Bognor Regis. A group of soldiers erect barbed wire along the seafront. They are wearing uniform including hats and boots. The barbed wire was put along the seafront during the Second World War to stop people from using the beach and to hinder any attempt on invasion by the German. Wartime West Sussex 1939-45 Project.
