| Full description | Horse-drawn cart, High Street, Three Bridges, Crawley. Probably the High Street, Three Bridges. View of a cart being drawn by two large work horses. The carter holds the front horse by the harness. He wears a flat cap, open waist-coat and tie. His shirt sleeves are rolled up. The cart has a painted sign on the side that reads: Leicester M. Reed, Carters Lodge, Handcross, Sussex. The front board of the cart also says: Hayes & Son, Stanford. And is marked No.1, 1894. Roger Bastable Project. |
